Grešlové Mýto: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Grešlové Mýto can be explored through its buildings and the landscape along the Jevišovka. The late Baroque road bridge over the river was built in 1766 on the historic route between Znojmo and Jihlava. The bridge features a late Baroque statue of Saint Nicholas; it is also a protected cultural monument.

Culture and History

In addition to the Baroque bridge, the Na Staré Poště ensemble includes a post station for mail coaches. Na Staré Poště is also part of a late Baroque and Neoclassical group of buildings; the year 1808 is inscribed on one of the gables. In the courtyard there is an open wooden carriage shed standing on four brick pillars.

The Mírovec hillfort is located on a prominent spur above the Jevišovka River. The Mírovec site was inhabited during the Eneolithic and the Early Bronze Age.

The surroundings of Grešlové Mýto include Václavský Kopec, Schwalbenfelsen, Stříbrná hora, and Příčník. All four are named landscape features classified as mountains. Heimatkreuz is also located in the surroundings; it is a named landscape feature classified as a shrine.

Trail and Water

A yellow-marked hiking trail begins and ends at Grešlové Mýto railway station. It leads via Boskovštejn and through the Černý les, around the Jevišovka Reservoir, to Jevišovice.

North of Grešlové Mýto is a group of three ponds; the largest is called Mírovec.
