Bezkov lies in the valley around the Gránický stream and near the northeastern edge of Podyjí National Park. Away from the main traffic routes, the village consequently has a comparatively peaceful character.
Culture and History
In the center of Bezkov stands the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. Dating from 1855, it is a single-nave, oriented building with a slightly recessed pentagonal presbytery. The first written mention of Bezkov dates from 1252. A wayside shrine dating from 1799 also stands in Bezkov at the crossroads leading to Mašovice.

Karlslust Castle is located in the vicinity of Bezkov. The mountains Binderberg, Schwalbenfelsen, Příčník and Václavský Kopec are also situated nearby. Wayside shrines in the surrounding area include Lange Marter, Sankt Hubertus and Heimatkreuz.
Traditions and Events
The traditional Bezkover church festival, Posvícení, commemorates the anniversary of the consecration of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and is celebrated on the first or second Sunday in October. A Saturday afternoon in June is regularly dedicated to Children’s Day. A ceremonial opening of the Advent season takes place in front of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary.
