Peč: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Peč was first mentioned in writing in 1305. South of the village rises Urbanečský vrch, at 570 m; it is one of the dominant elevations in the southern part of the Dačice Basin.

History and Sacred Buildings

After 1417, Peč was divided into two parts, each of which was assigned to the parishes of Lipolec and Cizkrajov. From the mid-16th century, Peč belonged to the hospital in Slavonice.

The Church of St. Linhart in Lidéřovice was built at the beginning of the 14th century and remodelled in the Late Gothic style in the mid-15th century. The ossuary next to the church is built into the enclosing wall. It is an originally Gothic stone chapel dating from the 14th century.

Landscape and Trails

Lidéřovice lies in the valley of the Lidéřovický potok, a right-bank tributary of the Moravská Dyje, in the Dačice Basin. A red-marked hiking trail passes through the village; cycle route No. 1242 also runs through it.

The 46 km cycle tour “To the Romanesque Landštejn Castle via the forgotten Maříž” passes through Peč.

Transport Connections

Peč has good transport connections by bus, with stops directly in the village, as well as by train, with a railway station 2 km away in the direction of Cizkrajov.
