Culture

The Chapel of St. Rosalia is located in the valley floodplain of the Rachačka stream in the cadastral area of Olešník. The brick building has a rectangular floor plan and a narrower rectangular presbytery, which forms the original Baroque chapel.

The former Schwarzenberg estate farm in Olešník dates from 1724 and was built according to a design by A. E. Martinelli.

Landscape

The Vorpil hill [Olešník] is located in the immediate vicinity of Olešník. In the wider regional surroundings of Olešník are Mužský Mountain, Zdoba Mountain, Skalka Mountain and the Church of Svatý Jan.

Mobility

Regular bus route 320150 connects Olešník with Týn nad Vltavou, Dříteň and České Budějovice.

Two cycle routes are also connected with Olešník: cycle route 1095 runs from U Rybáka in Olešník to Temelín, while cycle route 1078 passes through Olešník.

Summer

In summer, the Koupaliště Olešník outdoor swimming pool has an artificial swimming pool measuring 50 × 25 metres. There is also a smaller children’s pool measuring 15 × 15 metres and a slide.
