Kvítkovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature and Landscape

Kvítkovice is located within the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area. The landscape includes the 25-hectare Kvítkovický rybník, used for fish farming, on the upper reaches of the Dehtářský potok stream.

Culture and History

The first written records of Kvítkovice date back to 1263. The original structures of the farm complexes, with their gable ends facing the village green, have largely been preserved as part of the historic buildings.

Several chapels are part of the village’s history: the Baroque wayside chapel at the crossroads towards Habří and Dubné dates from 1730. The pseudo-Gothic Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Joseph and St. Adalbert dates from 1902.

The Kvítkovice forge is designated as a cultural landmark of the village. The historic forge, dating from 1823, is now used as a restaurant.

Below the dam of the Kvítkovický rybník stands the Nový mlýn mill, with its original mill wheel and millrace preserved.
