Kocelovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
East of Kocelovice, on the wooded hill of Zelená hora, there are Slavic burial mounds that constitute an important archaeological monument.
Culture and History
The group on Zelená hora comprises nine burial mounds and several damaged mounds arranged in rows from east to west. Four excavated burial mounds contained both cremation burials and inhumation burials.
Cycling
Cycle Route Circuit No. 1, which is 23.7 km long, connects Blatná, Kocelovice, Paračov, Dobšice and Skaličany. In Kocelovice, the circuit runs along the edge of the village beside a stone wall.
Landscape and Nature
The U Nivy hill [Chlum u Blatné] is located in the vicinity of Kocelovice. The Štěrbina mountain is also located in the surroundings of Kocelovice.
Kocelovické pastviny comprises grassland ecosystems of meadows, pastures and Nardus grasslands. It is considered the highest-quality site in the Czech Republic, with the largest population of this taxon.
