Číměř: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Číměř and its districts are located in the Česká Kanada Nature Park. The area around Číměř is used particularly for hiking and cycling tourism. The routes leading from Číměř or continuing through it connect to the Prague–Vienna cycle route.
History and Townscape
Číměř was founded in the mid-13th century under emphyteutic law and historically held the right to hold markets. A Baroque fountain dating from the 18th century stands in the village square. The townscape also includes wayside shrines dating from 1689.
Culture and Monuments
The Church of St. Giles in Číměř has Gothic origins and a tower dating from 1616. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 17th and 18th centuries; it has been a protected monument since 1958. A granite cross dating from 1808 stands in front of the church and is protected together with it.
In Dobrá Voda near Číměř stands the Baroque chapel of the “Coronation of the Virgin Mary,” dating from 1768. It too has been a protected monument since 1958.
Local Traditions
The Gulášfest in Číměř was held for the third time in 2025. The participants prepare the goulash on site. Traditional February pig-slaughter festivals were also held in Číměř, offering typical products from village home slaughtering.
