In Čížkrajice, remnants of the fortress have been preserved in houses no. 31 and 33. The fortress was probably initially Gothic and later converted into a Renaissance fortress.

History and Culture

The former school building in Čížkrajice was opened in 1910 and served as a primary school until it closed in 1967.

In the wider surrounding region of Čížkrajice lies Rosenhof Castle. The Lunkowitz Cross, Hunter's Cross, and Red Cross wayside shrines are also located there.

Nature and Cycling

The Boršíkovský potok is designated as a local biocorridor covering an area of 5.03 ha. The Panský (Vší) rybník is designated as a functional local biocentre covering an area of 4.42 ha.

The marked Novohradsko-Doudlebsko cycling route is intended for two- to three-day tours and includes a 13.5 km stage from Ostrolovský Újezd to Čížkrajice.

The mountains of Trosky, Borovanský vrch [Borovany-Dvorec u Třebče], Zaječí, and Vysoká lie in the vicinity of Čížkrajice.
