Tycek: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Týček lies on the southern border of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area, a large part of the municipality being located within it.

Nature and Trails

A stream flows from the western part of Týček through the local swimming pool, which is considered a fire reservoir. The municipality recommends hiking trails in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The “Týček Hike” started at the swimming pool in Týček. The red-marked hiking trail from Točník Castle to Zbiroh is approximately 11 km long.

Villagescape and History

Týček was first mentioned in 1336, and its historic centre has been preserved. Elements of vernacular architecture have been preserved on several buildings. Týček is home to a regionally atypical two-storey timber-framed rural building. House No. 28 in Týček is a remarkable farmstead with a timber-framed dwelling house and adjoining farm buildings. A chapel stands on the outskirts of Týček. The nearby Zbiroh Château developed from an original fortified castle founded at the beginning of the 13th century.
