The Stará pošta gives Stod a particularly vivid historical character: it has a striking Baroque façade with three richly decorated gables. As early as 1548, it served as a postal and riding post station; the building belonged to the Prague–Plzeň–Klenčí postal route. In 1799, the Russian general A. V. Suvorov stayed here overnight.

Culture

The Church of St. Mary Magdalene is a three-nave building with an interior ranging from the Baroque to Classicism. The Špitální kaple is a central, hexagonal building with a pyramidal roof and a roof turret dating from the early 18th century. In 1720, it received an altar dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.

The exhibitions of the Vehicle Museum Stod are located in the buildings of a 16th-century brewery. Their distinctive chimneys bear the year 1544. The vehicles on display include Volkswagen Beetles and Porsche vehicles.

Trails

The STODSKO educational trail begins at Komenského náměstí in Stod. Its later section is more suitable for cyclists because of the longer distances between some of the stops. The Dětská trasa leads through meadows along the Radbuza River to the centre of Stod.

Other places: Chotěšov, Měcholupy U Blovic, Mladý Smolivec, Čižice, Milínov, Dolní Lukavice, Prádlo, Útušice
