Kozojedy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kozojedy is home to the Church of St. Nicholas. It has been protected as a cultural monument since May 3, 1958.

Culture and History

The listed bell tower “zvonice” is located in the Borek district of Kozojedy. The low, square wooden structure stands on a stone base and is a copy of the original bell tower made in the early 1990s.

The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Kozojedy bears the names of the fallen from Kozojedy and Borek. It is a modern sandstone sculpture approximately 4 meters high, depicting a woman and a child.

Further churches are located in the wider surrounding region of Kozojedy: Svatý Martin is a church, as are U Svatého Petra and Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral.

Traditions

On February 8, 2025, the Kozojedský masopust carnival took place in Kozojedy, featuring a masked procession. The Staročeské máje 2025 celebrations included a May procession through Bohy, Buček, Lednice, and Kozojedy, as well as an evening May celebration.
