Ujčín: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The preserved castle complex in Ujčín comprises a wing, an arcaded courtyard, Renaissance vaults and an octagonal, two-storey tower. At the beginning of the 19th century, the castle was converted into an estate. It is permanently inhabited and not open to the public.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas in Ujčín was built in the second half of the 19th century. It has a rectangular floor plan with a three-sided termination on the west side and stands between roads on a lawn in the northwestern part of Ujčín.

The water mill known as Flossmanův dates from the first half of the 19th century. The residential building of the mill has a historicist gable dating from 1888; the mill stands on the Ostružná.

Landscape

Svatobor, Vosík [Hartmanice-Javoříc], Úliště [Javor - Loučany] and Javorná are mountains in the vicinity of Ujčín.

Geographical location

Railway line No. 185 (Horažďovice předm. – Domažlice) runs along the edge of Ujčín. Cycle route 2086 follows the Ústaleč–Kolinec–Ujčín–Tajanov–Malonice–Javoří–Podolí route and continues to Běšiny.

In the wider regional vicinity of Ujčín lies the Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg, a zoo.
