The Na Hradišti archaeological site is located in the cadastral area of Střapole in the municipality of Bušovice. It is a fortified hilltop settlement situated on a spur above the Berounka between the Lužnice and the Korečnický stream. The site includes a Copper Age hilltop settlement of the Cham culture.

Culture and History

Bušovice Castle is not open to the public. It is a Baroque building dating from the end of the first decade of the 18th century, built around 1710 by the Videršperk family; it was probably constructed according to a design by the Pilsen architect Jakub Auguston. The castle includes a five-sided chapel with a small turret topped by an onion-shaped cupola.

Nature

The Kokotské rybníky educational trail is a 9-kilometre circular route that takes approximately 4 to 5 hours to complete on foot. It is suitable for walkers, mountain bikers and older children and is marked with green tourist trail signs.

The educational trail includes the Upper and Lower Kokotský rybník ponds, with species-rich shore zones. The route also presents the history of the vanished village of Kokoty.
