Němčovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Němčovice is located in the Horní Berounka Nature Park, in an area bordering the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area and the northern edge of the Brdy Mountains. The surrounding area is shaped by its natural environment, waterways and unusual cultural monuments.

Natural Environment and Wildlife

Visitors can cycle along the Údolí mloků educational trail. The Olešenský potok, a small right-bank tributary of the Berounka in the Horní Berounka Nature Park, flows through the same landscape. Below the village of Olešná, the stream forms a wooded valley up to 60 metres deep. The area around the Olešenský potok is home to, among other species, fire salamanders, yellow-bellied toads, slow worms and eagle owls.

Culture and History

An unusual bus stop is the Pařezová chaloupka on Class II road II/232 between Rokycany and Kralovice. It was inspired by the 1968 animated series Pohádky z mechu a kapradí. The Pařezová chaloupka was ceremonially opened on 2 June 2019; the Němčovice, Pařezová bus stop was entered into the Czech Database of Records on 22 January 2024.

The Radná hillfort has a fortified total area of 4.5 hectares and includes several ramparts and an outer bailey. The Sloup se sochou Ecce Homo from 1722, depicting the biblical Ecce Homo motif, is also part of the region’s history. The restored original Ecce Homo statue is kept in a chapel that is open to the public during the summer tourist season.

The Church of Svatý Martin is located near Němčovice. In the immediate vicinity are Vyhlídka Hill [Kamenec u Radnic] and Hrádek Hill [Radnice u Rokycan]. Further afield in the regional surroundings of Němčovice are the Týřov ruins, Berdovna Mountain, Hřeben Mountain, the Church of U Svatého Petra and the Valdek ruins.
