Trojovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southern edge of Trojovice lie the remains of the circular Tvrziště. They are partly used as a simple playing field; at the same time, the Tvrziště is classified as a significant archaeological site in category ÚAN I.

Local History

Trojovice was founded in the middle or towards the end of the 12th century. Agriculture has long been an important source of livelihood for the village.

Buildings and Memorial Sites

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Trojovice is a branch church of the Hrochův Týnec parish. It stands on the site of a church that was already documented as a parish church in 1374. The building has a single nave, a flat-roofed nave and a flat-roofed presbytery, a cross-vaulted sacristy, a cross-vaulted lower level of the tower, and a masonry gallery.

In the upper part of the village stand a stone cross from 1867 and a monument to the fallen residents of the village.

Landscape

Trojovice stretches along the left bank of the Ležák stream and lies in a flat, fertile landscape.

The gently rolling landscape around Trojovice and the communities connected by Class III roads invite you to enjoy uncomplicated cycling tours. More demanding cyclists can use Chrast or Horka, about 5 km south of Trojovice, as starting points for continuing into the Železné hory.

Community

The library in Trojovice currently has more than 2,200 volumes. Traditional community events include Pálení čarodějnic; the event took place on 30 April 2025.

On Sundays in odd-numbered weeks at 11 a.m., a church service was scheduled at the branch church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Trojovice.

Bus connections from Trojovice to Chrast, Chrudim, and Pardubice have improved.
