Stojice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Stojice is located in the northwestern part of the Železné hory. The village has a preserved ensemble of rural village buildings with a historically preserved village layout and architectural character.

Landscape and Village Location

The Železné hory Protected Landscape Area begins approximately 6 km from Stojice. Within the built-up area of the village lies Stojický rybník pond on the Struha stream; the marked cycle route 4128 also runs through the same built-up area. Road I/17 connects Stojice with Heřmanův Městec, Chrudim and Čáslav.

Church and History

Stojice is home to the late Gothic Church of All Saints, with a cemetery, mortuary and surrounding wall. A remarkable rib vault has been preserved in the presbytery, and in 1867 the building was remodelled in the Neo-Gothic style by F. Schmoranz. As early as 1350, the Church of All Saints in Stojice was transferred to the newly founded Diocese of Litomyšl. The associated parish ceased to exist in the 17th century.

Historic Villagescape

Sýpka Stojice is a preserved former granary building. The 2024 cultural heritage inventory records a heavily damaged roof structure for the former granary building. Stojice is also home to a sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1672.

Events and Sport

Traditional events in Stojice include an annual Advent concert in the local church. The STOJICKÉ SAKO nohejbal sporting event, held annually for the Stojice municipal challenge cup, also takes place here. The multi-purpose court at the sports complex in Stojice can be reserved in person or by telephone through the facility manager.
