Rostejn: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Rostejn stands the Rostejn-Zbohov bell tower, which was erected at the end of November 1884. The bell in the bell tower was purchased from Bedřich Hampl of Jihlava for 28 gulden. Also at Rostejn 4 stands a 24-metre-high brick factory chimney with a square base, a round shaft and a top finished with a concrete ring. The chimney has long been out of operation and unused; at its top there is a platform with a nest for a white stork.

Culture

The chapel on the road from Běstvina to Rostejn was renovated in 2006. At the crossroads leading towards Rostejn there is a chapel mentioned in the regional cultural heritage. In the wider region around Rostejn, Zámek Kačina is a chateau, while Svatý Jiří is a church.

Nature and Landscape

A pair of white storks was observed in Rostejn on 4 April 2025. The place is associated with the CHKO Železné hory Protected Landscape Area. The mountains Bučina and Krkanka are located in the vicinity of Rostejn. The nearby hills also include Jalovčí [Běstvina] and U Turkových vrchů [Běstvina-Spačice].

In the wider surroundings of Běstvina, the wooded Doubrava Valley has its own character. A nature park is located there, and the Liběcká trail route once ran through the area.

Paths

Three marked hiking trails begin in Běstvina. A project envisages a footpath in Rostejn along road II/340 adapted for people with reduced mobility and orientation, with a crossing point to the public transport stop on road III/344 28.
