Petrovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Around Petrovice, there is a nature trail with six stations, summer activities at the České Petrovice sports complex, and the Rozhledna Amálka observation tower. The nature trail Království přírodních sil leads up the ski slope and is approximately 700 m long with an elevation gain of 100 m. Its six stations combine playful and educational elements.
Active Adventures
At Zemská brána, there is a 3 km-long nature trail suitable for families. There is also a stone bridge connecting České Petrovice and Bartošovice. In summer, the České Petrovice sports complex offers an adventure zone with an inflatable obstacle course, trampolines, summer tubing, water tubing, Zameták and a newly added paddling pool. Mountain-cart rides can also be booked there.
Winter at the Sports Complex
A ski and snowboard equipment rental shop is located directly below the ski slope at the České Petrovice sports complex. More than 100 equipment sets of various types, lengths and sizes are available, including equipment for children. The service centre edges and waxes skis and also offers a full-service package. The facility also includes a ski and snowboard school with a long tradition; evening skiing is possible on selected days.
Views and Religious Buildings
Rozhledna Amálka is a freely accessible viewing platform on the roof of a wooden ski bar at the upper edge of the České Petrovice sports complex. The platform is approximately 7 m high and can be reached via 34 steps. The upper viewing basket of Rozhledna Amálka offers views of the Orlické Mountains and Poland.
The buildings also tell the story of the surrounding area. The original building of the Catholic church Kostel sv. Petra a Pavla, dedicated to the Apostles Peter and Paul, dates from 1734. The Kaple na Adamu is a small stone chapel at the edge of the forest on Adam Hill, near the ski lift in České Petrovice.
Routes and Connections
From the endpoint of the nature trail Království přírodních sil at the observation-tower station, you can continue on foot to Kašparova chata. In the centre of České Petrovice, the yellow “Petrovická” route also begins at a trailhead with an information board.
