Miřetice U Nasavrk: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Miřetice u Nasavrk can be explored through specific places where the culture, memories and history of the surrounding area become visible: at chapels and memorials in Miřetice and Majlant, as well as at the Ležáky Memorial Site.

Cultural and Memorial Sites

On the outskirts of Miřetice, near a road, stands the late Baroque Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity, built in 1761. Inside, a wall painting depicts a sick person sitting under a tree, with a woman bringing them food on a pitchfork. Other notable memorial sites include the “Kameny zmizelých – rodina Krausova” memorial in Miřetice 1, located in a clearing in front of house no. 187.

In the Majlant district of Miřetice, the “Pomník Čeněk Zach” memorial stands in a spruce forest approximately 130 m south of the last house. At Na Perku, the “Pomník Obětem 2. světové války” memorial commemorates the landing of the 17-member Soviet parachute group of Jana Kozina, the founding of the L. Svoboda Partisan Regiment and those who fought against fascism. The “Pomník Obětem 1. a 2. světové války” memorial in Miřetice commemorates those who fell in 1914–1918, as well as Karel Svoboda, who was executed for helping and sheltering radio operator Jiří Potůček.

Exhibitions and Commemoration

The present-day Ležáky Memorial Site is located in the Chrudim area near Miřetice. The Ležáky Memorial Museum has been completely closed to visitors since June 2026 until the reconstruction is completed. At the Ležáky Memorial Site’s Minigallery, the exhibition “Ležáky. Osada hrdinů” is open to visitors free of charge from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00.

The multimedia exhibition “Ležáky, osada, která nemlčela...” at the Ležáky Memorial Museum presents the lives and fates of the settlement’s residents, as well as its destruction. The museum also has a screening room where a documentary about the tragedy of Ležáky can be shown.

Event

The annual Ležáky Memorial is a competition for pupils in the first and second stages of primary schools. The official start takes place above Majlant; the municipality of Miřetice provides financial support for the event.
