Dašice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary dates from 1677 to 1707; it is a particularly significant early Baroque building and an example of basilical church architecture.

Culture and history

The oldest surviving written mention of Dašice dates from 1318. A Baroque statue of Saint Wenceslas still stands on the north side of Dašice’s town square. The Church of Saint George is located in the wider regional surroundings of Dašice.

Landscape

Dašice is situated in the Polabian Lowland on the Loučná River. Until the end of the 13th century, the right bank of the Loučná near Dašice formed the edge of a large woodland complex. The hills of Hlaváč [Dašice-Prachovice], Hořánek [Dolní Ředice], Stropinský vrch [Úhřetická Lhota] and Na Kopci [Dolní Roveň] are located in the vicinity of Dašice.

Culinary delights

The first written mention of the Dašice brewery dates from 1507. Beer can be sampled at the Dašice brewery throughout the year; brewery tours can be booked by telephone.
