Senička: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Senička lies below the eastern foothills of the Drahanské vrchovina highlands and on the edge of the region known as Haná. The Blata stream flows along the southern edge of the village. A notable trace of history is the Senička-Záhumení archaeological site, a prehistoric site dating from several periods.

Landscape and nature

In Senička, Rajčur is one of the places shaped by the surrounding landscape. Rajčur is a revitalised leisure and recreation area in Senička. In a wooded setting, there is a pond and two wetlands intended to create suitable conditions for preserving the native wildlife. Aquatic animals, including amphibians and waterfowl, inhabit the small pools at Rajčur.

Culture and history

The foundation stone of the Chapel of the Guardian Angels in Senička was laid on 13 July 1734. The chapel is a single-storey rectangular building with pilasters and is listed as a protected cultural monument. The Eliška z Kunštátu educational trail has nine information boards, can be started in Senička and passes this chapel in the centre of Senička.

The former water mill dating from 1896 is the oldest surviving building in Senička. The expiatory cross in a niche chapel in Senička is listed as a protected cultural monument, is approximately 400 to 500 years old and is considered the oldest monument in the municipality. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Senička dates from 1823.

Getting around

The signposted Olomouc–Náměšť na Hané–Mladeč cycle route passes through Senička.
