Přemyslovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Strážná Lookout Tower near Přemyslovice is a small observation tower with a current total height of 12.3 metres. It can be reached via a nearby field path, and admission is free. From the Strážná Lookout Tower, there are views of the Hrubý Jeseník Massif, while the nearby hills are geomorphologically part of the Drahanská vrchovina.
Culture and History
The Přemyslovice windmill has been a listed monument since 1958, and its equipment has been preserved. It can be visited by arrangement with the owner or as part of special events. The predecessor of Přemyslovice Castle was the Emerencin summer house, built by Karel Příza in the first half of the 19th century.
The founding of Přemyslovice is indirectly associated with the ruling Přemyslid dynasty in the Czech lands. On 4 August 1306, Václav III, the last male descendant of this dynasty, was murdered in nearby Olomouc.
The presumed construction of the Church of All Saints in Přemyslovice is dated to the mid-13th century. Its largest renovation took place in 1933; the interior paintings date from the time of this renovation and were created by Jan Kohler. The church contains a painting from the mid-18th century depicting the baptism of Prince Bořivoj in Velehrad, painted by Sattler. The church displays features of old Romanesque churches and was first mentioned in historical sources in 1386.
Activities
The traditional Pochod okolo Přemyslovic was held for the 39th time on 28 September 2024 and attracted 76 participants. The “Kolem hanáckého Mont Blanku” route is a moderately difficult 34.8-kilometre cycling tour.
