Jindrichov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Jindřichov combines natural landscapes, sacred sites and historical traces with two cycling routes. The Františkov Nature Reserve is located in the municipality’s territory, in the cadastral area of Nové Losiny; in Habartice, mountain meadows alternate with forests, and in fine weather there are panoramic views.

Nature

Habartice is also home to the Habartická linden tree, designated as a natural monument. Above the settlement of Pleče, the remains of a former, now nameless castle site lie in the forest.

Churches and Religious Traditions

On the hill above Pusté Žibřidovice stands a church dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. In Pekařov, the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built by the local residents in the first half of the 19th century. Every year, the Pekařovská pouť pilgrimage takes place there in mid-August on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

Sacred architectural history also shapes the appearance of Nové Losiny: the Church of Saint Isidore was built between 1711 and 1714 and extensively reconstructed between 1777 and 1820. Its main altar is adorned with a large painting of its patron saint. The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Habartice was built by non-Catholics before the Battle of White Mountain and reconstructed into its present form in 1842.

Cycling Routes

The Velké Losiny–Maršíkov–Filipová–Rejhotice–Přemyslov–Jindřichov–Žárová–Velké Losiny cycling route passes through the region and is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes. Another cycling route runs from Branná via Jindřichov to Kouty nad Desnou, passing through Habartice u Jindřichova, Jindřichov, Kouty nad Desnou and Pekařov.

Transport and History

Jindřichov na Moravě railway station is integrated into the IDSOK integrated transport system.

Archaeological finds date the establishment of the former castle site near Pleče to the mid-14th century and its demise to the mid-15th century. In the Habartice area, a paper mill was built in the mid-19th century on the site of a former mill.
