Tichá: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The first educational trail in Tichá was officially opened on November 17, 2012. It comprises five stations with information boards, as well as several mini-stations marked with QR signs.

Nature

Tichá is located in the Přírodní park Podbeskydí nature park. The Tichávka stream runs from east to west through the deep valley in the center of Tichá; the highest point of Tichavská Hůrka is 544 m above sea level.

On the southwestern slope of Tichavská Hůrka, on the right bank of the Tichávka stream, lies the Travertinová kaskáda. The mountains of Skalka, Kyčera, Velká Stolová, and Kamenárka are also located in the vicinity of Tichá.

Culture

Regular readings take place in the library of Tichá on Thursdays in summer as part of the “3 pohádky ve 3” program.

The Church of Saint Nicholas was struck by lightning on August 13, 1964, caught fire, and was completely destroyed. In 1976, the new brick Church of St. Nicholas was built on the same site as a modern replacement for the original church.

After attending a vocational school of arts and crafts in Brno, Alžběta Fojtíková learned various glass-painting techniques.
