Culture and Local History

The Church of St. Augustine in Strahovice dates from 1924. The Chapel of Our Lady of Schönstatt was built in the Neo-Gothic style from red bricks. Strahovice also preserves two timber-framed granaries, typical agricultural buildings dating from the mid-19th century.

A pilgrim stone by the municipal hall in Strahovice is associated with the destination of Santiago.

Landscape and Nature

The sights of Strahovice include two large erratic boulders. Rare ruderal vegetation grows in a sand quarry near Strahovice.

The hills “(U kaple) [Rohov]” and “(Rozepře) [Kobeřice ve Slezsku]” are located in the vicinity of Strahovice. In the wider regional surroundings of Strahovice are the palaces Rzuchow - Zameczek, Dzimierz - Zameczek, Czernica - Dworek and Lyski - Zamek. Vinná hora and Přílet are mountains in the area.

Leisure and Cycling Routes

The minigolf course in Strahovice can be rented. Cycling route 552 runs from Opava via Chlebičov, Svoboda and Kobeřice to the Strahovice/Krzanowice border crossing and runs away from roads for motorized vehicles.

Cycling route 6055 passes through Strahovice, crossing route 552 there, and continues towards Chuchelnický les and Albertovec. The Moravian-Silesian Route runs from the Polish border near Strahovice to Opava via a cycling path.
