Skřipov is situated in a predominantly agricultural landscape surrounded by mixed forests. Several ponds are located within the cadastral area; the Bílovka stream and the Skřipovský stream flow through Skřipov.

Nature and landscape

The U Leskoveckého chodníka Nature Reserve is located in the cadastral area of Skřipov and covers 31.8826 hectares. The protected area safeguards natural autochthonous stands of spruce, larch and fir. It also contains near-natural stands of acidophilous beech, as well as partially preserved ash-alder communities in narrow stream valleys.

The surroundings of Skřipov are suitable for walks and relaxation, as well as for collecting mushrooms and other wild forest fruits.

History and culture

After three years of construction, the new church in Skřipov was completed in 1844 and solemnly consecrated on 1 September 1844.

In Skřipov, cycle route 6078 connects to cycle route 6190. Cycle route 6190 leads via Slatina and Vyškovice to Skřipov. Cycle route 6078 has an asphalt surface and is suitable for all types of bicycles. Cycle route 6190 runs along paved paths; in the direction of Stará Ves–Výškovice, it includes an uphill section.
