In 2004, Karlova Studánka was declared a heritage conservation zone.

Culture and Spa Architecture

The historic building stock includes the Hudební hala. The wooden building stands on a stone base and features Tuscan columns. It was built in 1836–1837 and, as a protected structure, has been preserved in an almost original condition.

The Pitný pavilon is a wooden pavilion with a covered spring; iron-rich water can be collected from several outlets. It was formerly called Vilémův pramen. Built in 1864, the pavilion became a symbol of the spa town and is considered an architectural and urban landmark of the resort.

Nature Trails and Discoveries

The Geological Exhibition in Karlova Studánka is 200 m long, accessible on foot and easy. It documents the geological development of the entire Jeseníky region.

The Environmentální trasa – Hvězda is a 3.4 km spa circular trail. It begins at the main entrance to the Libuše spa house, is marked with red squares and is accompanied along the entire route by signs with quiz questions.

The Bílá Opava educational trail begins at the car park in Karlova Studánka. The route leads via the Barborka chalet and connects to the Se skřítkem okolí Pradědu educational trail, which continues to Praděd. The Bílá Opava educational trail is more challenging and includes footbridges over the stream, ladders and chains along some sections. The route through the Bílá Opava valley runs through a nature reserve with cascades and waterfalls.

Spa Treatments and Mineral Springs

Horské lázně Karlova Studánka offers a wide range of restorative and medical treatments. The spa environment includes a healthy mountain climate and mineral springs.

Cycling Route

Cycling route 553 leads from Vrbno pod Pradědem to Karlova Studánka. The cycling route described follows a paved road.
