Brantice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Brantice Castle is a protected cultural monument with registration number ÚSKP 16390/8-47.

Culture and History

The construction of Brantice Castle was completed in 1604. The Brantice castle park was created between 1890 and 1900; its design combines a regular layout with informal planting. The park also contains a statue of Hercules dated 1709.

Another historic building is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Brantice. It is a Renaissance-Baroque building with preserved sgraffito decoration.

Landscape and Nature

The Brantice Uplands extend through Brantice and form part of the Nízký Jeseník mountain range. The Opava River flows through the cadastral area of the municipality. The nearby forests and hilly landscape around Brantice are suitable for hiking, mushroom picking and cycling.

The Radim Nature Reserve is located on Kopřivné Hill. It preserves a remnant of fir-beech forest with native Jeseníky larch. Radim is also home to a chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.

Sport and Local Life

The Brantice sports complex has two football pitches. Sports competitions and summer festivals take place there.
