Paseky Nad Jizerou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Paseky nad Jizerou is one of the most important centres of folk architecture in the Krkonoše Mountains and features numerous log houses with characteristically decorated gables.

Culture and townscape

The Památník zapadlých vlastenců was established in 1958 in a former parish building as a literary memorial to the writer, violin maker and teacher's assistant Věnceslav Metelka, whose personality inspired Karel Václav Rais to write his novel Zapadlí vlastenci. The Památník zapadlých vlastenců features a moving nativity scene. Paseky nad Jizerou is also home to the Baroque Church of Saint Wenceslas, which dates from 1787–1789.

Routes and activities

The Paseky nad Jizerou ski resort offers more than 10 kilometres of downhill runs for skiing and snowboarding. The 3.0-kilometre-long former trade route Buďárka climbs the slopes of Paseky nad Jizerou through the mountain landscape; the route has an elevation gain of 323 metres and takes 1 hour 12 minutes to walk or travel. The blue-marked Planýrka hiking trail was created in the 19th century by Prince Kamil Rohan.

The Ptačí stezka Paseky nad Jizerou is 3.6 kilometres long and has 12 stations as well as an introductory information board at the car park. Prdecká devítka is a nine-hole disc golf course in Paseky nad Jizerou. Discs for Prdecká devítka can be borrowed at the bar of Hospůdka Prdek.
