In Bystrá nad Jizerou stands the “bysterský dřevěný most”, a wooden suspension bridge built in 1922 and a cultural monument. The bridge is considered the only still-existing and functional bridge of its kind in Europe.
The local history also includes the first fire station, built in 1907, which houses an exhibition on the history of the local volunteer fire brigade. Ranch Bystra offers riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders. The ranch includes a 20-hectare fenced property with a circular riding trail through the forest as well as pastures with livestock.
