Příkrý lies on a steep northwestern slope that descends towards the Vošmenda Valley; the Vošmenda is a tributary of the Jizera. The topography and connection to the watercourse provide the village with a clear geographical setting. Landscape

From Mount Na Vrších near Škodějov, there are views of the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains, Ještěd, and Kozákov. The mountains Strážník, Pustina, Tábor, and Černá Studnice lie in the surroundings of Příkrý. The individual viewpoint at Na Vrších and the four named mountains thus form different landscape reference points.

Culture and History

The upper wooden bell tower in Příkrý contains an original bell from the first half of the 18th century. The Škodějov bell tower, together with the adjacent timber-framed farmhouse on the municipal road to Háje nad Jizerou, forms a picturesque rural ensemble. At Kozí roh stands the listed cottage No. 64, dating from 1869; it is a well-preserved example of the timber-framed folk architecture of the Podkrkonoší region.

The Škodějov water castle site has a partially preserved outer rampart in the western part of the village, northwest of House No. 4. The water castle site is a square earthwork with sides measuring 18 metres and a former moat 6 to 12 metres wide. Škodějov was the birthplace of Karel Farský, one of the co-founders of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. The cultural and historical points thus bring together different dates, architectural forms, ensemble relationships, and states of preservation.

The cultural and historical points therefore do not represent just one period or architectural form: the bell tower, timber-framed architecture, archaeological earthwork, and the biographical connection to Farský provide different approaches to the history of the village.
