Sekerkovy Loučky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Sekerkovy Loučky were mentioned in 1391 as “Loučky Sekyrkovy.” The name refers to small meadows and to Albert Sekerka, who was named as the owner of a homestead in 1391.

History and Culture

From the 14th century onward, Sekerkovy Loučky, together with Lestkov and Volavec, formed an independent lordship (vladyctví) that had emerged from the Rotštejn lordship. The Valdštejn Church is located nearby. The cemetery chapel in Sekerkovy Loučky was built between 1938 and 1939 in the Modernist style.

The mountains of Střelečská hůra, Tábor, Maršovicky vrch, and Přivýšina are located in the vicinity of Sekerkovy Loučky.

Viewpoint

In Dubecko, a telecommunications relay was converted into an observation tower at the request of local residents; Dubecko belongs to the settlement group of Sekerkovy Loučky. The observation tower has a viewing platform 33 metres above the ground, on a 50-metre-high mast. It was usually locked.
