Přepeře: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Přepeře lies on the right bank of the Jizera. Cycle Route No. 14 passes through the village. The signposted Cycle Route No. 17, called the Greenway Jizera, also runs along the river. It can be used for cycling, inline skating, riding scooters and hiking; individual sections can also be navigated by boat. Přepeře is considered a traditional stopping place for cycle tourists and a traditional stopping place for canoeists on the Jizera.

Its location on the river is also connected with the Český ráj landscape area: Přepeře lies near the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area.

Culture and History

One of Přepeře's landmarks is the Late Gothic Church of St. James the Greater. Its oldest parts date from 1340 to 1350, and it also has restored historic organs. Near the church stands a late-19th-century rectory, preserved in its original Neo-Gothic form. A statue of St. John of Nepomuk dating from 1733 is also located there.

On the road to Příšovice, a Baroque statue of St. Agatha stands on the bank of the Čtveřínský potok stream. A Neo-Gothic chapel is located in the local cemetery.

Notable Buildings

The Přepeře Husův sbor is a remarkable building. Its design is reminiscent of houses in South Bohemian village squares and of Protestant churches from the period of religious toleration without towers. A Petrof harmonium is located in the gallery of the Přepeře Husův sbor.
