Radostná Pod Kozákovem: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Radostná pod Kozákovem lies entirely within the Český ráj Protected Landscape Area. Kozákov is a very old geological formation created by volcanic activity and a site where unique minerals are found.

Nature

The name Radostná pod Kozákovem is derived from the Radostná spring. It lies on the southwestern slope of Kozákov at an elevation of approximately 600 m. The Votrubcův lom important natural feature, a well-known site where semiprecious stones are found, is also located in the Kozákov settlement of Radostná pod Kozákovem.

Mr. Votrubec's collection of semiprecious stones in the Kozákov settlement can be visited year-round. The Radostná spring has a chapel dating from 1841 and lies above Radostná pod Kozákovem along hiking trails marked in blue and yellow.

The mountains of Střelečská hůra, Tábor, Přivýšina and Strážník are located in the vicinity of Radostná pod Kozákovem.

Culture

During the summer months of July and August, an annual exhibition of gemstones from the Kozákov area and its surroundings is held at the municipal office in Radostná pod Kozákovem. Since 1982, an annual carnival mask parade with a horse-drawn carriage has been held in Radostná pod Kozákovem during the carnival season, ending with a carnival ball.

Valdštejn is a church in the vicinity of Radostná pod Kozákovem. The chapel in Volavec was restored on the outside in 2017 and on the inside in 2018.

Cycle paths

The cycle path along road II/282 runs from the crossroads by the wayside cross to Lestkov and was completed in 2019. The second construction stage of the cycle path along road II/283 connects Lestkov with Tatobity and was completed in 2010.
