Benešov U Semil: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Benešov u Semil lies on the southern slope of Benešovský vrch. The mountain offers beautiful views of the Krkonoš ridges as well as Ještěd, Tábor, Kozákov and Kumburk. The regional, signposted cycle route 4174 also runs through the village.

Nature

A suspension bridge stands on the Jizera, a structure in a modern Alpine style that is described as unique in this form not only in the Czech Republic but also in Europe. It is the only place in the municipality where it is possible to reach the opposite bank with dry feet.

At the weir on the Jizera, the fish pass enables fish to migrate in both directions. In summer, it is possible to swim in the natural surroundings of Benešov u Semil.

Active pursuits

A groomed cross-country ski trail is prepared above Benešov u Semil in winter. KČT Benešov u Semil organises excursions, trips and other events every year.

Culture

Several attractive traditional log cabins have been preserved in the upper centre of Benešov u Semil. An open-air cinema is also held in Benešov u Semil every year.
