Winter Sports and Local History

Benecko’s winter sports history includes a hut acquired by the Český SKI klub, which became the starting point for ski trips throughout the entire Krkonoše Mountains. Skiareál Benecko has varied slopes, a snow park and three children’s ski parks: Havrland, Family aréna and Kejnos. The ski area also offers three snow tubing runs, a cross-country ski trail and sledding opportunities.

Trails with Puzzles and Nature Themes

The Lufťákova stezka starts and ends at the car park. This family trail, just under 4 km long, leads through 12 stations with puzzles and unusual tasks; the search for the world’s largest dwarf extends the route by 1.5 km. Only the original section on the asphalt path is suitable for pushchairs.

The 3D Bludiště is located near the mountain station of the Kejnos cable car. Most of the obstacles can be bypassed via a sturdy walkway. The Benecká přírodní stezka follows municipal and forest paths and presents information about the rare nature of the Krkonoše Mountains at playfully designed stations, including mushrooms, animal tracks and the language of hunters.

Chapel and Tradition

The Chapel of St Hubert stands near Jindrova skála, from where views of the mountains open up. The traditional Benecká pouť pilgrimage takes place at the chapel.

Cycling Options and Horseback Riding

Benecko has cycling loops for different ability levels, as well as a well-maintained singletrack and a nature trail. In the surroundings of Benecko, Farma Hucul offers horse rides at the farm and in the countryside.
