Krckovice-Hrubá Skála: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Krčkovice is located in the Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area. At Věžák, rocks rise directly from the surface of the pond.

Nature

The summit of the Vodní skála rock at Věžák can be reached via a climbing route from the water or on foot from the opposite side.

Trails

A hiking trail leads via the Čertoryje signpost and past the Pohádkový domek to the village square of Krčkovice. From the village square, a dirt track between the houses leads back to the green-marked trail through the Čertoryje canyon.

Culture

The Chapel of the Guardian Angels stands on the village square of Krčkovice; there are also wayside shrines there. The chapel is a free-standing rectangular building with a tower. Above the entrance, a stone plaque bears the year 1735.

Above Věžák Pond in Krčkovice stands a monument to the Kosin family. It commemorates more than three centuries of continuous farming of the “Na Budách” farm by a farming family.

Information

The Věžák Information Centre is located at Krčkovice 31, Hrubá Skála, 511 01. Throughout the summer, the Věžák Information Centre offers environmental education activities for visitors to the Bohemian Paradise, including exhibitions, photographs and information materials.

The annual Eco Days at Věžák offer activities primarily for younger visitors that entertain them and provide information on specific nature conservation topics in the Bohemian Paradise. The Věžák Information Centre is part of the network of tourist information centres in the Bohemian Paradise. This network provides up-to-date information on excursions, events and destinations, as well as maps, travel guides, experience tips, regional products and admission tickets.
