Velké Svatoňovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Velké Svatoňovice stands a memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars opposite the pond. The Hasičské muzeum in Velké Svatoňovice presents historic firefighting equipment; its exhibition covers its development in the Bohemian lands from approximately the mid-19th century to the second half of the 20th century. The museum can be visited by prior telephone appointment.

Culture and History

The Chapel of St Wenceslas, the martyr, is located in the Velké Svatoňovice district. It was built in 1903 and most recently reconstructed in 2003.

The protected historic buildings include the Schreiber homestead No. 238. It was built in 1634 and has been protected as a historic monument since 22 April 1964. At House No. 239 stands a barn dating from the 18th century, partly built using log construction; it has been protected as a historic monument since 30 September 1998.

Nature

Rybník Aman Pond is located in the central part of Velké Svatoňovice. It lies on the Markoušovický potok, also called Zaječí potok. The pond is used for fishing; swimming is at your own risk.
