Bílé Poličany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The 8-km-long Podzvičinska 4131 Maňovice–Zábřezí cycle route runs through Bílé Poličany and has an elevation gain of approximately 120 m. It is part of a system of 23 marked routes that connect to existing cycle routes in the Hradec Králové Region.

Activities and the Outdoors

The summit of Vinice Hill is a notable viewpoint. Regardless, today’s excursion destination, Vinice, can be reached conveniently on foot, including via the red-marked hiking trail; there is no vineyard, restaurant or viewpoint there.

History and Memorial Sites

In 1949, when Bílé Poličany Castle belonged to Czechoslovak Radio, established and aspiring employees of Czechoslovak Radio stayed there.

A simple plague column on the road running through Bílé Poličany bears the year 1729 and commemorates a year of plague in which many local families died. A niche chapel in Bílé Poličany formerly housed a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. A prayer text to Saint John of Nepomuk is carved into the gable of the niche chapel: “G Jenne Nepomůcký patrone náš milý blaženče Český oroduj za náss.”

Park and Buildings

In the English landscape garden, the former music salon was converted into the Chapel of the Elevation of the Holy Cross. In the English landscape garden, next to the fountain, stands a sandstone sculpture of a satyr. The sundial on House No. 33 is located 2.4 metres above the ground and is 1 metre in size. The former chapel pavilion now serves mainly as a storage building.
