Near Úhlejov, a small castle once stood on a hill at the confluence of the Bystrý and Hornoúhlejovský streams; it no longer exists. The name of the tourist hike “Po stopách rytíře Zbyhoně” refers to a local legend about the medieval castle complex on Schlossberg, which later became known colloquially as Šušpárek. In the 19th century, domestic weaving of Kalmuk was also widespread in Úhlejov, a coarse fabric with a raised surface on both sides.
