Těchlovice is located in the fertile, agriculturally dominated landscape of the Polabská nížina lowlands. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1318.

Several landscape features officially registered as hills are located in the immediate vicinity of Těchlovice: Kavkaz [Libčany], Kozí kopec [Libčany-Želí], and U Žižkova stolu [Všestary-Rosnice]. The landscape feature Dubina [Střezetice], also registered as a hill, is located in the surrounding area.
Culture and History
The local historic religious monuments include Ukřižování. Těchlovice is also home to a neo-Gothic chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary and a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1822. The statue stands on the outskirts of the village, on the road to Libčany. A memorial near the sandstone cross commemorates those who fell in the First World War. The Church of Saint George is located in the wider regional surroundings of Těchlovice.
Cycling Routes
Several routes include Těchlovice in their itineraries. The “In the Footsteps of Libraries” cycling route runs from Horní Přím via Těchlovice to Libčany. The 36 km “Battlefield 1866 at Chlum” day loop also passes through Těchlovice. The “Against the Flow of Time” cycling route also runs through Těchlovice; its return route passes through Hrádek, Radíkovice, Těchlovice, and Stěžery.
