The winter skiing offer in Špindlerův Mlýn includes the Medvědín, Svatý Petr, Hromovka, Terminál 1 and Horní Mísečky areas. The ski resorts offer groomed slopes with varying levels of difficulty for beginners, families, experienced skiers and snowboarders.
Winter
For cross-country skiing, there are groomed trails leading from Špindlerův Mlýn into the surrounding area and up to the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains. The Špindlerův Mlýn toboggan run leads downhill from the Spindlerova Bouda chalet to the town; the ascent is by bus and the descent by rented sledges. During the winter season, the ski bus network can be used to conveniently travel between the individual locations.
Nature
The NS Labský důl educational trail is most easily reached from Špindlerův Mlýn via a blue-marked hiking trail. The educational trail covers moraines, traces of a huge avalanche and an object referred to as the cauldron of the Celtic Druids.
The Hornická Trail is 1.4 km long and ascends 100 metres. Along the Hornická Trail, information boards explain the historical importance of mining in this area; the trail also passes the ruins of old adits.
Čertova strouha is a 1.2 km-long educational trail featuring an exceptionally well-preserved historic flood-control structure. Along Čertova strouha, there are 43 transverse and 194 longitudinal stone flood-control structures. Čertova strouha is accessible year-round.
The section of Harrach's Trail between the White Bridge in Špindlerův Mlýn and the Labská Chalet is the oldest marked tourist route in the Krkonoše Mountains.
Culture
The Church of Saint Peter is a Neoclassical single-nave building constructed between 1802 and 1807. Services, concerts, lectures and personal development programmes take place in the Church of Saint Peter.
The Cold War Museum is located in a former nuclear shelter beneath the Harmony Hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn and is open to the public. At the Cold War Museum, visitors can explore the bunker’s original equipment and rooms independently or as part of a guided tour.
Walking Trails
Mlynářovy Okruhy run through quiet areas of the town’s natural surroundings, away from heavily trafficked roads, and are designed as walking trails for all age groups.
