Bílá Třemešná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Several historical periods meet in Bílá Třemešná: Adam Zilvár of Pilníkov bought the village in 1594 and converted the local fortress into a Renaissance château. The Renaissance château has not survived; František Antonín Harrach had it demolished in 1865–1866. Among Bílá Třemešná’s important monuments is also a Roman Catholic church in the Romanesque style, founded at the end of the 16th century, while the old rectory was built in the Empire style.

Culture

On the southern wall of the Church of St. James the Greater in Bílá Třemešná, there is a preserved sandstone commemorative plaque for Budivoj Třemešský dating from 1578. During his stay in Bílá Třemešná, Jan Amos Komenský completed his work “Hlubina bezpečnosti”.

The Les Království Reservoir is a national cultural monument. Following the severe flooding of 1897, the construction of the Les Království Reservoir was decided upon; it was completed in 1919. The Les Království dam and its surroundings are freely accessible via public roads. Under favourable conditions, visitors can enter the observation tower of the Les Království exhibition.

Activities

Several cycle routes pass through Bílá Třemešná. In winter, groomed cross-country ski trails run from Bílá Třemešná to the summit of Zvičina; there is also a ski slope with a lift above the village.

Bílá Třemešná can be reached by bus from Dvůr Králové.
