Rampuse: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rampuše lies in a sloping valley crossed by a stream in the Podorlická Uplands. Rampuše was first mentioned in 1544.

Culture

By the bus stop in Rampuše stands the small Baroque Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows, dating from 1745. Near House No. 16 is the Neo-Gothic Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, which was consecrated in 1868. In the immediate vicinity of this chapel stands a monument to those who fell in the First World War, erected in 1921. A new bell for the chapel in Rampuše was consecrated on 1 August 1920.

Landscape

At Sokolí hnízdo, the seasonal Farmářův dvoreček allows children to meet farm animals and learn about life on a farm. Farmářův dvoreček operates only during the summer months. Also at Sokolí hnízdo, visitors can sample products from Farma SOKOL, including sausages and yogurt.

Local Sights

Above the pond in Rampuše stands a statue of Rampepurda. It was created by the academic sculptor Michal Moravec from Hořice. Rampuše is also home to a wooden statue of Rampušák, regarded as the patron and protector of the Orlické Mountains. Kristýna, known as Rampepurda, was born and lived in Rampuše; she is associated with the character from Karel Poláček’s novel “Bylo nás pět”.

A red-marked hiking trail passes through Rampuše, continuing from Zdobnická Seč to Liberk.
