A green-marked KČT hiking trail runs from the bus stop in Prasek via Kunčice to Hrádek u Nechanic Castle and is approximately 10 km long.
Transport and Nature Trails
Prasek is served by buses operated by the Integrated Regional Transport system of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions (IREDO) and has four bus stops.
The Les Chlum nature trail leads in the direction of Prasek and provides information on 10 panels, focusing mainly on the local flora and the history of the surrounding area. The Les Chlum educational trail also leads into a secluded part of Chlum Forest, to a former sand quarry with a small pond.
History and Culture
Prasek was first mentioned in 1312. The settlement was probably founded as a strip-shaped colonisation village on the site of a former forest complex. In the 18th century, Prasek grew through the construction of small houses.
The Neo-Gothic Church of the Sacred Heart of the Lord in Prasek was built between 1898 and 1900 and stands directly on the road to Zdechovice. It is a branch church of the Nový Bydžov parish; a church service is held there every other Sunday at 11:15 a.m.
The Prasek “Chlum” archaeological site comprises the remains of fortifications from a hillfort of the Lusatian culture. A partisan memorial is located at the edge of the forest outside Prasek.

The local sports complex of TJ Jiskra Prasek gives girls and boys the opportunity to develop their football skills from an early age.
