Culture and history
The Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Libřice was originally built in the Gothic style and remodelled in the Baroque style in the first half of the 18th century. Its interior furnishings date from the 17th century. In front of the church stands a statue of St. John of Nepomuk dating from 1795.
The area around Libřice has been located along an old trade route from Bohemia to Kłodzko and onwards to Poland since at least the Middle Ages.
Landmarks in the village
At the crossroads opposite the church stands a small belfry. The bell from 1496 rings in Libřice every day at noon and has been preserved because of its historical rarity.
At the Dolejšák pond in Libřice, a figure of the water spirit Budlánek 2 can be seen. Budlánek 2 replaced the original figure of Budlánek.
The Dub u čp. 22 oak is more than 130 years old. Its history is connected with the Zilvar family from house no. 22.
Leisure and events
An outdoor swimming pool is available in Libřice for leisure activities. On 27 September 2025, the Libřický pohár firefighting sports competition took place at the Libřice training ground, with categories for men, women, and children's and youth teams. The programme included a firefighting attack and a relay with two-person firefighter teams.
