Humburky: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The fortress of Humburky was first mentioned in 1615 and fell into ruin during the 17th century.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Salvator at the crossroads to Koláč was restored and reconsecrated in 2000. Humburky is also home to a statue of Saint Wenceslas, a valuable sculpture created in 1748 by an unknown artist.

The Humburky Municipal Museum houses a collection of scales. It also has a collection of kitchen mills which, in terms of the number of items, is one of the largest in the Czech Republic; the museum also displays a collection of poppy-seed and breadcrumbs mills. Chicory coffee was produced in Humburky until 1949. In 1985, horse breeding in Humburky was recognised as a breeding operation for Czech Warmbloods.
