History and Monuments

Dolní Přím Château was created by extensively converting a Renaissance fortress into a Baroque château between 1681 and 1714; the Italian architect Carlo Antonio Lurago was also involved in the conversion. During the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, a military hospital was housed in Dolní Přím Château, and the building was damaged again.

After extensive reconstruction, the chapel of Dolní Přím Château is used for concerts and other social events. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Dolní Přím is listed as an immovable cultural monument.

The IR 74 monument is located in the municipality of Dolní Přím. It is a sandstone obelisk on a pedestal with a large relief of the Austrian eagle, as well as Czech and German inscriptions on cast-iron plaques. The U sv. Aloise monument is also located in the municipality. It is a sandstone cross on a pedestal with black granite plaques in Czech and German.

Nature and Landscape

The Dolní Přím forest nature trail is located in a wooded area called Bažantnice on the western edge of Dolní Přím. The forest nature trail has 12 educational stations and 2 play stations.

The municipality of Dolní Přím, together with its administratively associated parts, lies within the “Battlefield of the Battle of Hradec Králové” landscape monument zone.

In the vicinity of Dolní Přím are the terrain points recorded as hills: Dubina [Střezetice], Babylon [Třesovice], U Žižkova stolu [Všestary-Rosnice] and (Na příbytkách) [Všestary-Lípa].

Location and Surroundings

Dolní Přím is located approximately 10 kilometres west of Hradec Králové in the direction of Nový Bydžov. Dolní Přím has very good bus connections. The Church of Svatý Jiří is located in the wider regional surroundings of Dolní Přím.
