Bezděkov Nad Metují: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of Saint Procopius is a Baroque church and belongs to the so-called Broumov group of churches. In 2022, it was declared a national cultural monument. It was built between 1724 and 1727 on the initiative of the Broumov abbot Otmar Zinke, based on a design by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. The bell of Saint Procopius was acquired and consecrated in 1999 through a public collection and still rings out from the church tower today.

Culture and history

The Haltýře, also called Džbery, are among the historical features. They date from 1862 and were restored to their current form in 2000. Part of the farm building houses an exhibition of historical machinery and objects; visits can be arranged by appointment.

Nature and trails

The protected Bezděkovský oak has a trunk circumference of 450 cm, is 24 m high, is estimated to be 172 years old, and has been protected since 1995.
