Nature

Louky v České Čermné is a protected natural monument covering an area of 3.78 hectares.

History

The first written mention of Česká Čermná dates back to 1448. Until 1849, the history of the village was closely connected with the history of the Náchod estate.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas is the second chapel in Česká Čermná. Construction of the present chapel began in 1938 and was completed in 1941. Surplus material from the discontinued construction of the Dobrošov military fortress was used in its construction.

The N-S 71 Sedlo infantry bunker is part of the Dobrošov fortress system cultural monument. It serves as a museum operated by the KAHAN III association.

Geographical location

Česká Čermná lies on the border with Poland and has a border crossing for restricted local cross-border traffic. Hiking trail 65 from Nový Hrádek to Dobrošov runs through the village. Due to its elevation of over 500 metres, Česká Čermná can be more difficult to reach in winter.
